I've downloaded several hacks for Sims 2 on my computer and each time I do, all my custom content disappears. The folders for the stuff I made myself are still there and the icons for the downloaded sims are still there too but in the game I can't use any of them. Why is this happening and how can I stop it? There is a handy tool you can download from simwardrobe that you can run that will tell you if your hacks are or aren't compatible with each other. Go to: then click on sims 2, then programs and you'll find the Hack Conflict Detection Utility 2nd down. you should also make sure that the hacks you are downloading are compatible with your version of the game. For example, if you don't have any xxpansion packs higher than Open for Business you should not be downloading hacks for Freetime. Well I've got to say, that is one of my favorite games! And the DLC (Downloadable Content) isn't available right now, it'll probably be a bit before or after Christmas. It'll probably feature patches, new wrestlers, maybe moves, entrances, RTWM stories, anything. To download them then you just have to click on the ICON, and if you're connected to the internet, a page will pop up[ with all the new content available, but it'll probably start out small. To download them just click on the thing you want to download.
